Le 3 janvier 2019 le robot YuTu 2 de la sonde spatiale Chinoise Chang’e 4 est arrivée sur la face cachée de la Lune, permettant d'explorer et de photographier pour la première fois la surface de notre satellite naturel. Les faces cachées est la présentation d’une sélection de unes de journaux quotidiens chinois datant du lendemain, le 4 janvier 2019. Ces documents historiques sont disposés de façon à laisser passer la lumière à travers les images de paysages lunaires publiées par la CNSA (Administration spatiale nationale chinoise). Par l'effet de transparence des feuilles de papier journal, les images du recto se superposent alors sur un même plan à celles d'une autre actualité au verso, et font entrevoir des coïncidences étonnantes.

On the 3rd of January 2019, the Yutu 2 robot from the Chinese space probe Chang'e 4 arrived at the far side of the Moon, allowing for the first exploration and photography of the surface of our natural satellite. The Hidden Sides is the presentation of a selection of the front pages of Chinese newspapers the following day, the 4th of January 2019. These historical documents are arranged and installed in a way that allows light to pass through the lunar landscape images published by the CNSA (National Space Administration of China). Through the transparency effect of the newspaper sheets, the recto images then overlap on a single plane with those of another news story on the verso, revealing surprising coincidences.
